On Saturday evening the members of the Women’s Progressive Club, Governor’s Bay. with their friends, enjoyed a delightful programme in aid of the library funds. Mrs Pairman presided. Those taking part were:—Mrs W. F. Greig (monologue), Misses Esmai, Dulcie and Constance Columbus and Mrs W. F. Greig (glee). Miss Caroline Small (songL Miss Peggy Allan and Mrs Pairman (duologue). The boys athenaeum orchestra p.layed several selections, which were much appreciated. The Glee Club also responded to a hearty encore. Supper was served by club members, after which an amusing comedy was played by Misses Avis, Dulcie and Constance Columbus, Messrs C. and TI. Crow and A. Butler. The usual votes of thanks and the ringing of the National Anthem .closed a successful evening.
