M’INNES DISSATISFIED WITH FIGHT VERDICT.

DECLARES HE SHOULD HAVE GOT DECISION OVER L. M*DONALD.

(Special to the “Star.”) AUCKLAND, August 21. After last night’s fight between Lacbie M'Donald and Tommy M’lnnes, the judges disagreed, and Mr F. Burns (who had been given a great ovation on entering the ring to referee, after several years' spell) decided in favour of M’Donald, a decision which was greeted with loud cheering. There was not much in it, and a draw might have been a better verdict. MTnnes, together with his trainer. Jack Warner, called at the “ Star ’ Office this morning to express their disappointment over the verdict. The Scot is confident that he won every round after the tenth, and believes that he was entitled to the decision.
