BONE DRY?
It was reported to a meeting of the North Canterbury provincial executive of the Farmers’ Union this afternoon that the cost of entertaining the Marlborough farmers recently was £23 3s 2d, of which the union's share was half. “Wen be about bone dry soon,” remarked Mr J. D. Hall. “Weren’t the sheepowners in with us, too?” The chairman (Mr R. T. M’Millan): No. They decided not to come in.
