HIS MISTAKE.
(Special to the “Star.”) AUCKLAND, August 21. An unusual incident occurred in Victoria Street, Hamilton, yesterday afternoon. Mrs J. Lawrence was dressing the front of her women's clothing shop when a wax model overbalanced and smashed a plate-glass window. Traffic Inspector O. Robinson saw the model from a point some distance away, and, thinking it was a woman who had fainted, ran to the rescue. In lifting up the model, Robinson cut his finger severely with a piece of glass.
