TIMARU COMPETITIONS ARE CONTINUED.
The fourth annual festival of the Timaru Competitions Society was continued yesterday. In spite of bad weather, there was a very large attendance at the evening session in the Olympia Hall. The junior champion recitation for girls under 16 was won by Miss E. Evans, Christchurch, with 81 points. The judge, Mr J. R. Lester, spoke very highly of Miss Evans’s work.
