While the Hon A. D. M’Leod, Minister of Industries and Commerce and Minister of Lands, was in Christchurch this week he paid a private visit to Mr J. Liggins’s poultry farm, Burwood. Air G. H. Bradford, honorary secretary and organiser of the New Zealand Poultry Association, was with Mr Liggins. Air Al'Leod was very interested with the size of the farm, where there are ,4000 laying heps, and at the time of the visit, there were 4000 chicks under electric brooders. There was also a 500 size incubator hatching, as well as nine 500 size incubators, all full, in the course of incubation.
