The Christchurch Presbyterian Social Service Association has completed nineteen years of useful work in thjs city and province. During these years members of this association have .taken part in every movement that has aimed at the good of the city. Work among the poor and needy has gone on year by y r ear quietly, many struggling to hQld their own in a new land have been helped, and not many persons outside -the association’s influence know what is being done. Since 1912 this association has maintained homes for motherless and needy children in the city. At the nineteenth annual meeting. to be held in St Paul’s Hall, Lichfield Street, to-morrow, at 7.45 p.m., reports of the work done will be followed by a short musical programme provided by the children from these homes. All interested in child welfare are invited to attend.
