The new programme to be screened at the Strand Theatre this afternoon and evening will be headed by a film entitled “ Exit Smiling,” in which the leading role is played by Beatrice Lillie. It shows the performances of fearsome melodramas in back country halls, and reveals a very humorous back-of-the-stage life. A sweet romance is said to run throughout the story-. Jack Pickford has the leading male role. “ The Monkey Talks,” starring Olive Borden, is the title of the second attraction.
