CARETAKER'S HOUSE AT WOOLSTON SCHOOL DAMAGES BY FIRE.
The Fire Brigade received a call at 2 p.m. to-day to a four-roomed dwelling at 470, Ferry Road. Woolston, occupied by Mr John Byfield, and owned by the - Canterbury Education Board. Mr Bvfield is caretaker of the Woolston School. The two back rooms and their contents were destroyed by fire, and the contents of the front rooms were damaged by heat and smoke. There was no insurance on the contents.
