A novel method of teaching geography is being* practised in a school oh the outskirts of Paris. The school has been built by a wealthy American for the education of American children resident in. France, and is run on very modern lines. Fifteen acres of the grounds have been set aside and constructed as a map of the world. Each country is distinctly outlined, its large towns are represented by toy houses, heaps of soil show its mountains, and rivulets and pools mark its rivers and lakes. Deep waters represent the seas, and when the children go to study the geography of a particular country Jhcy are taken by boat.
