Choicest New Zealand 168 s to 170 s, unsalted 172 s to 1765; Australian 158 s to 160 s, unsalted 1625: Danish 1765. Cheese.—The market is steady. At the wool sales 94 30 bales were offered, of which 1682 were Australian and 5704 New Zealand. There was an average lot of merinos and greasy cross-breds, but a splendid selection of scoured cross-breds and slipes. The market was very firm, with keen Home trade competition. New Zealand sales were:—Tahora, 20*d (top), 19Jd (average); Kenley Downs, 27d and 23d; Haldon. 48d and 46d; C and MCL, 35d and 304 d; HRTT, 20d and 18Jd per lb.— Australian Pi-ess Association. At the sheepskin sales 2766 bales wer* offered, of which 1510 were Australian and 509 New Zealand. There was a good selection of Australian short wools and a good all-round range of New Zealand’s. Prices are unchanged. America bought freely for Tull cross-oreda, France for short wools and Yorkshire participated all round.— Australian Association.
