At the wool sales 94 30 bales were offered, of which 1682 were Australian and 5704 New Zealand. There was an average lot of merinos and greasy cross-breds, but a splendid selection of scoured cross-breds and slipes. The market was very firm, with keen Home trade competition. New Zealand sales were:—Tahora, 20*d (top), 19Jd (average); Kenley Downs, 27d and 23d; Haldon. 48d and 46d; C and MCL, 35d and 304 d; HRTT, 20d and 18Jd per lb.— Australian Pi-ess Association. At the sheepskin sales 2766 bales wer* offered, of which 1510 were Australian and 509 New Zealand. There was a good selection of Australian short wools and a good all-round range of New Zealand’s.
