| The Christchurch Tramway Board rej cently wrote to the City Council draw- ! ing attention to the fact that several minor accidents had occurred in the vicinity of the Christchurch Gas Company’s office as the result of cars being parked too' close to the tramlines, and that on other occasions trams had had to stop while obstructing motors had been removed. The board suggested that the side channel on the north side of Worcester Street be covered in a similar manner to the channel on the south side. The estimated cost of this work is about £45, and the board, had been informed that the channel will be covered if it is prepared to meet the cost.
