THE RADIO TRAIN.
Bv SIN BAD. Oh !,Travel holds many a pleasure, as Lyttelton people will know next Saturday when at their leisure, to scenes on the West Coast they go. The scenery viewed altogether, provides a most thrilling display. It’s up to the clerk of the weather to shut off his tears on that day. Then some brainy bird recognising that folk may get bored by the view, has put through a scheme enterprising to fit them with radio, too. In each car there’ll be a loud speaker, tuned in to the best on the air, so that should a traveller seek a diversion then it will be there. . No matter what then taking place is the tourists in contact will keep. They’ll hear an account of the races, with guards, doubtless, running a sweep. The long journey westward soon thus’ll be bright but it certainly looks as if railway servants must hustle, to Swot up some radio books.
