SMOKE OBSCURED VIEW OF DRIVERS.
(Special to the “ Star.") AUCKLAND. May 1. While proceeding from Huntly toward Hamilton yesterday morning, a motor-car driven by L. Pine, a jockey, of Auckland, met in collision with another car. A cloud of smoke from a passing engine obscured the view of the road. Both cars were badly damaged. S. Fergus, of Auckland, a passenger in Pine's car, received a cut in the neck.
