Seeing is believing—otherwise you would never imagine a washing powder could make such a difference. Sno-Wite is simply great and it washes floors, dishes, woodwork, silverware, etc., thoroughly. A story "of Rudyard Kipling s visit to Wellington nearly thirty-eight years ago was related by Mr R. Tait at the City Council staff officers’ farewell to Mr H. Baillie on Friday, afternoon, states the “Post.” “Armed with a letter of introduction,” said Mr. Tait, a young friend of mine went to interview the great author at his hotel. After a long conversation, Kipling suggested purchasing one of his books in the city, to which he would affix his autograph. Accordingly the two set out and walked the whole of Willis and Manners Streets and Lambton Quay, but no bookseller had a copy of his works. Finally they came to the shop owned by Mr Baillie, who at once recognised the author, and produced one of his volumes. The valued signature was obtained, and the volume is now a prized possession.”
