NEW TEMPLAR LODGE IS INSTITUTED.

A Lodge and Juvenile Temple of the international Order of Good Templars was instituted in the Union Street Methodist Schoolroom, New Brighton, on Friday evening by Sister M. A. GunneU S.L>., J.C.T., assisted by Brother V 7£ a ’? ue l CT ' a,, ' J officers iron. Hope of Christchurch Lodge No. 8 and the officers of Bastion .Memorial Juvenile Temple. The Lodge was named Kia Ora Lodge and tlie Juvenile Temple Union Temple. The following officers were elected Adult Lodge—Chief Templar. Sister ilrs F. Wedd; vice 'iempiar, Sister Edna Watts; chaplain, Sister .Mrs Watts; find, secretary, Sister Gott; treasurer, Sister Heal; secretary. Sister Mrs V. E. Teague; marshal, Sister Richards; guard, Brother Backhouse; sentinel Sister M. M Clintock; S.J.W„ Sister Mrs V. E. Teague: L. deputy. Sister Mrs Stokes; associate members, Sister Warbutton, Sister V. E. Teague, Brother W. Jforsey, Brother W. Teague, Brother Backhouse. The officers of the juveniles are as follows:—C Templar. Sister Hazel Richards; V Templar, Sister Rosie Lundberg; chaplain, Sister Maisie Lundberg; F Secretary, Sister Beth M'Fadxien; treasurer. Sister Edie Hill; setletarv. Sister Mona Sutton; A Secretary, Sister Edna Greenha jgh ; marshal, Sister Jane M'Fadzien; L>. Marshal, Sister Peggy Sutton; guard. Brother Mac M’Fadzien: sentinel. Brother Allan Richards; superintendent, Sister Mrs V. E. Teague. After the installation Sister M. A. Gunnell, S.DJ.C.T., offered a prize to the member in the adult and juvenile Lodges bringing in the most members during the quarter. Brother Alex Rennie. ( and Superintendent of Educational Work, gave a short address on Good Templary, and on behalf of the Grand Lodge Executive welcomed the bodge and Temple into the Order. Bro--1 her H. Ford, Grand Messenger, Brother C. Teague and others also spoke congratulating the members in Brighton on the institution of the Lodge.
