EMPIRE INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION MEETS.
A meeting of the Empire Industries Association was held this morning to further the arrangements for Industries Week. Mrs J. Cracroft Wilson presided over a good attendance. It was reported that the wholesalers and retailers of Timaru had agreed to co-operate in the arrangements. Professor J. Macmillan Brown wrote resigning from the Ladies’ Committee, and enclosing a donation of £5. A donation of £1 Is was received from Mr G. Rutherford. It was reported that the head masters of several schools had been interviewed and had agreed to co-operate in the arrangements.
