ROTARY CLUB’S APPEAL BROUGHT GOOD AMOUNT.
Following is the balance-sheet of the appeal made last Christmas by the Rotary Club of Christchurch for gifts for the orphans and hampers for the needy:— The receipts totalled £338 11s Sd. made up of collections at the band concert, at the tent in Cathedral Square, and by members personally. Payments totalled £235 7s 3d, as follow: —Shillings for orphans, £52 8s: to Mrs Herbert for hampers, £150: St Anne’s and the' Fresh Air Homes, £8 8s: printing, hire of marquee, advertising and sundries, £24 11s 3d. The balance, £lO3 4s sd, is in hand for winter relief for children.
