BOY FALLS FROM WHARF, IS DROWNED.
Per Press Association. ! NEW PLYMOUTH, February 19. ' Some time on Friday evening Frede- ■ rick William Harrison, aged nineteen. ! fell off the wharf in the harbour and evidently struck his head on some- . thing and was drowned. His family was living in two different houses and i each part thought that the boy was ■ with the other. Yesterday afternoon a boy was fishing on the wharf when he saw the body and notified the police. J A constable sought the assistance of a man working with a boat on the : beach. The man rowed out to the body, turned it over and discovered [ that it was his own son. There was ’ an extensive bruise on the forehead. It was disclosed that the boy had intended to board a launch lying beside the wharf, and, in going down the ladder, probably fell. He could not swim, but may have been rendered unconscious by the fall. ,
