The fortnightly meeting of the EHm division of the Order of Sons of Temperance was held in the Temperance Hall. Gloucester Street, on Saturday evening Brother G M*Arthur presided Three of the. members were reported sick. Correspondence was received from the Wanganui and Advance divisions, and from the M W P. asking for the appointment of a deputy M.W.P. Brother Wykes was elected to fill this office. At the close of the evening it was decided that at the next meeting the lodge should begin its proposed reading of Shakespeare's “Romeo and Juliet." With a view to this, two of the members then gave a synopsis of the play and a few hints on how it might be read.
