YACHT RACES HELD BY WELLINGTON CLUBS.
(Special to the “Star.**) ELLINGTON, February 6. The Inter-club Cup, for fourteen-foot boats and under, was sailed for at Evans Ba3' on Saturday l -, and was won by All Black, a Rona class boat, from Wellesley I. Wellesley- 11. was third, followed by Aloha and June. Three keel yachts, Windward, Nanette and Seabird, competed in an ocean race to Port Underwood and back, leaving at 1.30 on Saturday afternoon. The y-achts arrived back last night. Seabird finished first at lOhr 13min 12 sec, with Nanette second at lOhr 16min 20sec.
On the outward way a very light breeze was encountered, but the run home was in a freshening; nor’-wester. The distance was approximately 100 miles.
