Flowers from Wellington, Palmerston North and Dunedin, will be sent to the Canterbury Horticultural Society’s show in the Public Gardens to-day'. These will be gladioli from the North Island, and sweet peas from Dunedin. There are many local entries of summer flowers. It is expected that it will be the best display of sweet peas seen in Christchurch. Two Advantages—Quality and Price. Quality in things we use every day—like Tools or Cutlery or Chinaware—affords hourly' satisfaction and quickly puts to shame cheap trashy things. Messrs Hastie, Bull and Pickering of Cashel Street, aim at quality first but their prices are based on good buying and are low notwithstanding high quality. Try them! “The proof of the pudding,' - etc. 4
