“THANKS, MR ELL.”
To the Editor. Sir,—May I claim a small space in your paper, on behalf of a very large number of business girls in Christchurch with whom I come in contact in various ways, to express to Mr Ell our appreciation and admiration of the real hard work he has undertaken for some time now on our Cashmere Hills: yes, and I am afraid without very much praise. After going into the question very deepl3% and with due consideration, I think we are greatly indebted to Mr Ell. who has his heart and soul in the work, and receives such a small remuneration.—l am, etc., J.D.
