HAGLEY CLUB HOLDS ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Hagley Golf Club was held last evening. There was a good attendance of members. The president (Mr T. D. Harman) was in the chair. The annual report showed that there was a credit balance of £216 13s lid. as compared with £75 14s last year. This increase was due to additional revenue amounting to £B4 11s 9d, and a decrease in expenditure of £56 8s 2d. As this latter item included a donation of £25 to the unemployed fund for work in the Domain, the result of the club's financial operations during the year was very satisfactory. “We have had a very satisfactory season,” said the president, in moving the adoption of the annual report. The links were in good order, and play generally had been of a high standard. One of the events of the year had been the purchase of the Russley Links, and in this respect a great deal of work already had beeii done. Mr H. D. Andrews seconded, and the motion was carried unanimously. A special report in connection with the new course at Russley stated that a temporary course of nine holes was available for play. Over seventy members already had been elected. If sufficient shares were taken up, a permanent golf house, on lines required by a large club, would be built early in the coming year. So far, the club'and Its members had taken up 2300 shares, hut at least another 1000 were needed to do the work necessary for the course to be opened next autumn, thoroughly equipped. The report was adopted. A new constitution of rules t.o provide for the Hagley and Russley link* was discussed, and will be approved at a later date. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr George Harris: vicepresident. Mr T. D. Harman: ladies’ l club captain. Miss G. M. Cotton; men s club captain. Mr E. J.
