MR SIDEY FORGOT CLAUSE ORDERING FINE WEATHER.
At the official opening ceremonv of the memorial gates at Wilding Park this morning, Mr I) G. Sullivan, M.P.. made some caustic remarks about the weather in relation to daylight saving “ Ever since the Summer-Time Bill has come into force, the weather has been atrocious," said Mr Sullivan. “The only mistake that Mr Sidev made in passing the Bill was the omission of a clause providing that fine weather prevail during daylight saving." One man at the back of the crowd had a quick retort: “We left that to the members of Parliament, but they have evidently over-looked it.”
