To-day’s Trots.

CONDITIONS UNSETTLED FOR FIRST DAY OF BRIGHTON MEETING. The New Brighton Trotting Club's meeting was commenced to-day after a postponement from yesterday on account of the rain. The conditions were unpleasant. a cold wind being: in evidence, accompanied by occasional showers. The course was in capital order. There was ft fair attendance. Leaving the straight, Pieter Timmerman and Sarsaparilla went on together, and led Lady Fan and Nelson Boy to the straight, where Sarsaparilla broke.
