111 G HT—JAC KM AN. In the- Rugby Street Methodist Church, Merivale, the wedding was recently solemnised of Miss Muriel Jackman. eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs V\ . 11. Jackman, of Leeston, to Mr Reginald Ilight, second soil of the late Mr and Mrs Arthur Ilight. of Brookside. The ceremony was performed bv the. Rev W. Laycock. The bride, who was given away bylie r brother, Mr S. M. Jackman, wore a smart frock of hydrangea georgette, appliqued with cream point lace. Iler veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms and she carried a pretty bouquet of white hothouse flowers and maidenhair fern. Misses Edith and Nellie Jackman attended their sister as bridesmaids. Both were dressed in brocaded crepe de chine with georgette sleeves, Miss Edith's frock being of eau de nil 'shade, while her sister’s was of apricot. They wore t’ulle mob caps with posies at tlie side, and carried bouquets of marguerites. Mr Cecil Ilight, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr Maxwell, of Timaru, cousin of the bridegroom, was groomsman. A reception, which was con finer! to intimate friends, ;vas held at the Lilac Tea Rooms. Mrs Jackman mother of the bride, received her guests wearing, a. smart, navy repp Ensemble suit with i Oriental trimmings and a hat to match. She also carried a posy of violets .and i maidenhair fern. When Mr and Mrs! Might left on their wedding tour, the j litter was wearing a stylish repp frock 1 of wine shade under a fuchsia velour! coat. A neat plush hat matched the! frock. Mr and Mrs Might will make |
