1 CLUB OFFICIALS DENY RUMOUR OF CHANGE, j (Special to the “Star.”) AUCKLAND, July 15. Nothing is known in either League or Rugby Union football official circles regarding the suggestion that Paewai, the All Black, and Runt, both Grafton players, will appear for League clubs on Saturday. The secretary of the Grafton Rugby Club (which meets Ponsonbv, the championship leaders, to-morrow), said;

that he knew nothing of the reported change over. His club had suffered serious losses to League last season, but he was doubtful whether the same would be the case this year. Prominent officials of the Marist and City League Clubs denied any knowledge of the players mentioned becoming members. “ Paewai will certainly not be play- | ing for Marist on Saturday,” said the | secretary of the former.
