POULTRY SHOW HELD AT LYTTELTON TO-DAY.

The second annual poultry, pigeon, art needlework and cookery show was opened at the Lyttelton Drill Hall this afternoon. The show proved to be one of the most successful held, the total number of entries reaching over 900 The canary section was a particularly good one. The section contained close on 200 exhibits, entries being re reived from as far south as Invercargill. Entries in the art needlework constituted a record, some very tine specimens of fancy needlework being exhibited to advantage. This section is increasing in popularity. Exhibits have been received from Christi hurch. Kaiapoi and Rangiora. In most of the sections competition is very kef n.
