CAR THAT GOT THE “SHIMMIES.”

He swerved the machine to right the defect, but it wobbled again when near the tram, with which his front tyre collided and then burst. There was no damage done to the tram, and he had “done the right thing” by apologising to the tramway authorities the following morning. They had said that there would be no need to carrv the matter further. Defendant added that the accident would not have occurred but for the trail* loop. The Magistrate: What make of car was it? When defendant mentioned the make, the Magistrate said that he himseli had had experience of “the shakes” for which that particular brand was somewhat noted.
