The alterations decided on by the Tramway Board in the board's building in Cathedral Square are now being carried into effect. It was found that the board room was not entirely suitable for its purpose, while members of the clerical staff had to be accommo-
dated at the back of the building, where the natural lighting was not so good. The board therefore decided to move the staff to the front of the building and to alter the rear portion to serve the purpose of a board room. The alterations will probably take a month to complete.
