Mr R. A. Kenner, who has held the position ot' general secretary of the Y.M.C.A., Christchurch, for the past eight years, has resigned his position to accept a journalistic appointment in Auckland. Mr Kenner is leaving Christchurch for the north next week. Arrangements have been made to farewell him this evening in the Y.M.C.A. Building at 7.45, when a social function will be held. A programme of addresses, music and presentations has been arranged. The Mayor will be amongst the speakers. At the same gathering, opportunity will be taken to farewell Mr G. Spencer Green, the physical director, who is leaving next month for America, and Mr A. J. M.’Elclowney, who has just arrived from Wanganui to take over Mr Kenner's duties, will be welcomed.
