“CHEERFUL FRAUD” SHOWN AT LIBERTY.

In ‘‘The Cheerful Fraud.” which is the title of his latest production. Reginald Denny has two other British-born players with him In the main parts. These are Emily Fitzroy and Charles Gerard. The plot is about a mix-up in society life. A nobleman is of no mean order. The picture poses as his own secretary, and discovers a burglar posing as himself. A crime takes place, *nd the real nobleman is accused of it, while the pseudonobleman, otherwise a burglar, takes the part of the injured party. Into this tangle comes a. pretty girl, and of course, things become further involved. However, all ends happily. In pictures «>f the type in which Denny takes part, the plots, although laughable, are logical, and thus the story can be enjoyed by those who do not care for the slapstick type of comedy. The vaudeville turn by Tilton and West is most enjoyable. Their efforts consist of songs and patter, and these are of a good standard. Two Gazettes, a travel film, an educational picture of great merit, and a cartoon complete an enjoyable programme. The Liberty Orchestra, under Mr Ernest Jamieson, contributes enjoyable musical selections.
