OBITUARY.
The Rev Mother Mary Joseph Davis, of St. Joseph’s Convent, Lyttelton, passed away at the Lewisham Hospital, after being an invalid for about twelve months. The Rev Mother was a sister at the convent for some thirty years, until three years ago, when she was selected as Rev Mother. She was of an amiable and genial personality, and a very successful teacher. She belonged to an old Lyttelton family. Solemn requiem mass will be conducted at 9.30 to-morrow morning by Bishop Brodie at St. Joseph’s Church, Lyttelton. The funeral will take place immediately after the mass.
