SHIPPING NOTES. Kittawa from Westport is expected her to-day with a load of coal. Tecs is due here to-day from Wellington to undergo docking. / Hoyle is expected to sail from Lyttelton to-morrow for Melbourne. The vessel has cargo for Dunedin, which will be transhipped at Lyttelton. Kauri is due at Wellington towards the latter end of the week from Newcastle with a load of coal. Ilauraki was expected to sail from Auckland yesterday for Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney to complete her unloading of Pacific Coast cargo. Maheno was due at Wellington yesterday from' Sydney. The vessel is timed to leave Wellington on the return trip on Friday. Moeraki is expected to sail from Melbourne on Friday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. She is due here on July 1. Kaponga, which arrived at Wellington from Newcastle last week, is in command of Captain J. Rankino, who ' has associated with him the following officers:—Chief, Mr C. H. Lang; second, Mr W. If. MiUward; third, Mr E. J. Taylor; wire-loss operator, Mr L. G. Whitlock; chief engineer, Mr 11. M’Dougall; second, Mr G. Deer; third. Mr E. W. M’Kenzie; chief stewards, Mr S. Hart. Captain E. Harris, master of the Waiotapu, lias been relieved by Captain D. Todd. Captain J. Arnold, of the Kittawa, is on sick leave. Mr J. Ritchie, lato chief officer of the Wahine, has joined the vessel as acting-master. Captain Elders has rejoined the Wa iPlata, after holidays, relieving Captain A. R. Stewart. Mr A- O. Christie has joined the Tofua as chief officer, relieving Sir G. I.*. Fraser. Mr A. M. Harvey has relieved Mr T. A. Mack, second officer of the Kauri, who in on holidayn. Mr 11. S. Collier, chief officer of .the 3ftaipori, has been appointed chief officer

of the Kaitoke, in place of Mr T. E. Bevan, who has joined the Waipori as chief officer. Mr 11. Abernetliy, third officer of tlie "Waipori, lias joined the Kaitoke as third officer, his position being- filled bv Mr r. L. Russell, third otficer of the Kaitoke. Mr A. R. Hewitt Isas transferred to the Waipori as acting-second mate. Mr W. Henderson, chief officer of the Katoa, hits joined the Komata in a similar capacity, relieving Mr E. H. j Iloimdale is expected here to-morrow I to load for Wellington and Wanganui. I Gale, from Timaru, arrived at Lyttelton yesterday. She should have -sailed last evening for Wellington and Wanganui, but owing to the wet weather she lay idle all day. It is expected that she will sail to-day. Calm is expected here to-morrow from the south to load for Wellington ar.l Wanganui. Breeze is an expected arrival at Lyttelton to-morrow from the north. She proceeds the same day for Dunedin and Timaru. Progress will load here to-morrow for New Plymouth and Waikato. Corinna is due this evening from Timaru to load for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth. Kawatiri was docked at Lyttelton yesterday for cleaning and painting. She is expected to sail for Newcastle to-day. John was further delayed by the weather and is now expected to sail today for Wellington, New Plymouth and Waikato.
