ROYAL COMMISSION TO LOOK INTO PHASES OF CHILD ENDOWMENT.
By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Aus. and N.Z. Cable Association. MELBOURNE, June 21. The Premiers’ Conference has adjourned till July 12, when it will reassemble at Sydney. After discussing the child endowment scheme, the conference passed a resolution recommending the appointment of a Royal Commission to investigate every phase of child endowment, particularly in relation to wage regulation. Mr Lang was the only dissentient. The commission will be appointed immediately.
