YOUTH REMANDED ON CHARGE OF BURGLARY.
per Press Association. FOXTON, June 20. Leslie Joseph Murphy, a youth, licensed as a farm hand of Dannevirke, was arrested to-day on the wharf and charged with converting to his own use a new Chevrolet car at Palmerston North. It was said that he abandoned the car at Rangiotu on Saturday. He was also charged with stealing a stockwhip and breaking and entering the drapery premises Messrs Barr and Tver, Foxton, on Sunday night, and stealing therefrom goods to the value of £3l. Accused appeared before Mr K. Hornblow, J.P., and was remanded to Palmerston North. ahe stolen goods have been recovered.
