SCAPLET FEVER IS PREVALENT NOW.
WELLINGTON HAS GREATEST NUMBER OF RECENT CASES. Per Press Association WELLINGTON, June 15. The Wellington provincial district is experiencing an undue incidence of a mild type of scarlet fever. The latest figures for New Zealand give a total of 66 cases, including one death. Of these cases nine were in the Wan-ganui-Horowhenua district, fifteen in the Wairarapa-East Coast, thirteen in Wellington Central, and the rest in the other ten districts. The Health Department is taking all precautions and has issued instructions to head masters of schools a oarents.
