NEWSPAPER TO START PROFIT SHARING PLAN.
COURT CERTIFIES TO DIRECTORS’ PROPOSALS. Per Press Association. HAMILTON", May 7. Advice has been received by the Waikato and King Country Press, Ltd., that the Arbitration Court has made an order certifying that in its opinion the profit-sharing scheme formulated by the directors will be favourable to the general body of workers employed by the company. It is a condition of the Companies Empowering Act, 1924, that-a certificate must be Obtained-from the Arbitration Court before labour shares can be issued by a limited liability company. The “Waikato Times,” therefore, now is in a position to bring its scheme into force, adopting the provisions of the Act in regard to the issue of labour shares.
