THREE CHILDREN DROWN IN RIVER YARRA.

Three children—Wilford Mumforcl (aged seven), William Mearns (aged ten) and Dorothy 'Mearns (aged six) —were playifig on the banks of the Yarva at Studley Park. Later they were missed and their bodies were afterwards found in the river. The father of the Mearns children spent several hours diving and when almost exhausted he discovered the body of his daughter.
