The six competitors got away to a perfect start and covered tiie first lap almost in a. straight line. The (irst turn saw the swimmers still together, with the exception of Aliss Page, who was some feet away. Aliss Farquhar went slightly ahead over the second lap, but was beaten to the turn at 06 2-3 yards by Aliss Stoakley, who was closely followed by Alias .lepson. Miss Stockley made a had turn, but. made up leeway over the final lap, and won by a good yard. Aliss Bell swam strongly to second place, with Aliss Jepson a touch away.
