ISSUES WRIT FOR £IOOO DAMAGES FOR ALLEGED ASSAULT.
By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Aus. and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received December 31,.1020 a.m,) SYDNEY, December 31. Following the affray in Parliament, Mr Keegan has issued a writ against Voltaire Moles worth claiming £IOOO damages for alleged assault.
A sensational episode 'occurred in Parliament after both Houses had adjourned on Christmas Eve. Members allege that Mr Lang was attacked by Voltaire Molesworth, a former member, and also that Molesworth had an altercation with Mr Keegan, a Labour member, who suffered slight abrasions. An unseemly scuffle ensued, during which Molesworth received a cut face. He was then escorted from the building. ___________________
