At the show held last week at Little River, Mr J. R. White secured three first prizes and one third in the crossbred dairy section, and thus won the prize for the most points in the section. It had been stated that another exhibitor had gained that distinction. The Riccarton Borough Council has been authorised to raise a loan of £4OOO for repaying the balances of certain maturing loans.
