Mystery continues to surround King Ferdinand’s illness. There is the strictest censorship in Rumania and the people are ignorant of the gravity of the King’s condition. Nevertheless the country is effervescing, especially in military circles, among which Prince Carol has many supporter s. The Parisian newspaper “ Midi ” asserts that the Rumanian Government possesses information to the effect that Prince Carol intends returning to Rumania, issuing a proclamation to the army and nation and demanding help for the defence of his hereditary, rights. The Government therefore is sending Professor Forga to dissuade Prince Carol from causing a civil war. Prince Carol, who is residing at Neuilly, refuses to issue a statement. It is reported that he will meet Queen Marie when she returns from America on November 30. A message from Bucharest states: The Government denies the possibility of a civil war.
