FRANKLIN SUPPORTS THE CONTROL BOARD.

The Franklin Agricultural Society took exception to a resolution passed by the Associated Chambers of Commerce Conference urging the Government to repeal or amend section 13 of the Dairy Control Act. The following resolution was passed, to be forwarded to the Acting Premier, the Minister of Agriculture, and the member for Franklin :—“ That this society deprecates the action of the Chambers of Commerce. Conference in suggesting the repeal or amendment of the clause which gives power to enforce absolute control; and that the society, favours the control board having a fair chance to prove its merits.”
