SUGAR PRICES INCREASE TO-DAY.
THIRD RISE WITHIN LAST THREE MONTHS. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, November 28. An increase of twenty-five shillings a ton in the price of all grades of raw and refined sugar is announced, by the Colonial Sugar Refining Company. The increase is to take effect to-morrow and brings the wholesale price of No. 1A or table sugar to £25 per ton. The present increase is the third within three months. In November last year the wholesale price -was £22 per ton, or £3 10s per ton below the price at the beginning of that year. ■ The company also - an.nou-rtce increases in -the .prices •of .golden, syr-iip-and treacle.. •
