Mr J. Russell Brunt, J.P., registrar of the Canterbury Justices’ Association, is in receipt of the agenda paper in connection with the fifth annual general meeting and conference of the Magistrates’ Association, which was to be held on Wednesday, October 27. The Lord Mayor presided, and among the speakers was Miss Elizabeth Haldane. A hearty welcome is assured all accredited Justices who may call at the registered office, 84, Eceleton Square, London. The president is the Hon Viscount Haldfme* S.M., K.C.; chairman, Sir Robert Wallace, K.C.; secre tary, Mr Cecil Leescn. The association was founded in 1921, three years after the Canterbury Association, which was the first association formed in the Dominion.
