RADIO PIRATES.
To the Editor. Sir,—When are the P. and T. officials going to wake up and make a raid on the unlicensed “listeners.” It must be several months since the last prosecution in Christchurch, and hundreds of sets have been sold since then. Has the number of registrations been increased considerably ? I doubt it! A raid should be made, and a heavy penalty imposed on these dishonest listen ers. The only alternative is to compel all “radio dealers” to take names and addresses of all customers, and render them weekly to the P. and T. Department, and we don’t want to enforce that. Now a word for 3YA. May I suggest that in every studio programme a comedian is featured. My wife and family daily scan the “Star” programme for Mr G. Ireland, whom they consider as good as our late admirer, “John Henry” of 2L0., London. Congratulations to the “Star” for their active interest in local wireless affairs.—l am, etc., RADIO BUG. Richmond.
