FCRBURY TROTS. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, November 27. The Forbury Park trots were continued in showery weather. The course was very dirty. SUBURBAN HANDICAP (harness).

NOTES ON THE RACING. (Special to the "Star.”) AUCKLAND, November 27. In the Melrose Maiden Stakes, Town Btrd had charge crossing the top from Dimmer. Royal Picture, and Cantab. Town Bird landed in the straight in front of Cantab, Royal Picture, Arch Queen, Bahama and Dimmer. In the run home, Arch Queen prevailed by a length and a half from Town Bird, who was two lengths in fronts of Cantab. Bahama was fourth. Time—lmin 89sec. In the Melrose Maiden, the bracket. Town Guard and Tekawana, carried £BO more than Royal Picture, with KynzjEone next in demand. In the Tiri Highweight, Royal Forrti was £l2O better backed than Pouri, Wedding March also being well sought after. As they raced along the back, Royal Form and Fair Abbey were on terms, with Black Cruiser, and then at intervals came Sea Comet, Kamehameha, Hangawhera and Pouri. Royal Form was first to turn for home, with Black Cruiser, Fair Abbey and Pouri the handiest of the others. Black Cruiser won by half a length from Pouri, who finished fast and was a neck in front of Royal Form. Sea Comet was fourth. Time—2min 43 3-5 sec. R. Nixon, rider of Daddy’s Girl, was knocked about the head and rendered unconscious. Daddy's Girl had fallen before the field had gone a furlong and so had Wedding March. In the Borough Handicap, crossing the top. the order was: Le Choucas. Archibald, Namutere, New Moon, Ring the Bell. Thursby. Muscari, and Uralla. Archibald was first to turn for home from Namutere, New Moon and

Ring the Bell. New Moon came through in the concluding stages to beat Namutere by two lengths, with Archibald third, a length and a half further back. Ring the Bell was fourth. Time—lmin 36sec. The 1905 All Black, George Gillett, owns New Moon, the winner of the Borough Handicap. The second horse was passed over by F. Gilchrist to Todd and Porter before the race. Le Choucas, Ring the Bell, and Thursby were next best backed to Archibald. For the big race, the Alison Cup, Tresham carried over £3OO more than Master DoDoti. The next best fancied were Desert Glow and Town Bank. As they raced along the back, Ruapapa was the pilot, followed by Spoony, Desert Glow, Tresham, Princess Ronnie, Lord Star, Master Doon, and Town Bank, with Boomerday and Transormer last. Ruapapa and Spoony still held the leading positions as they turned for home in front of Desert Glow and Boomerday. Ruapapa went on to ; win in a canter by three lengths from Spoony, who was half a length in front of Boomerday, with Master Doon close up fourth. Treshham was last. Time—2min 38sec. Ti Tree was nearly twice as good a favourite as Auriculus for the Cambria Handicap, with Carinthia better backed than Exalted and Lorna Doon. Carinthia was first to show out from Exalted, Lorna Doon and Arihana, but crossing the top Exalted and Lorna Doon were together, followed by Ari- ' hana, Ti Tree, Auriculus, and Carinthia. Lorna Doon was first to turn for home from Exalted, Arihana and Ti Tree, and went on to win by three and a half lengths. Ti Tree was three quarters of a length behind Exalted third, with Arihana fourth. Time—lmin 8 l-ssec. The public choice, Tinokoa, ran fifth in the Takapuna Plate, but the next three horses in the order of favouritism filled the places. Ned Kelly led across the top from Tinokoa, Ruffles, True Blood and Refinement. Ruffles was the first to turn for home, with Tinokoa, Delightment, Ned Kelly and True Blood most prominent of the others. Ruffles held his own to win by a length and a half from True Blood (Roy Reed’s mount), who beat Delightment by three-quarters of a length for third place. Ned Kelly was fourth. WANGANUI, November 27. Heavy showers during the night made the track dead this morning, when a number of horses engaged at Feilding were given fast work. Elysianor (Head) was given a run over five furlongs, which he left behind in lmin 4sec, moving very well. Th"» first three furlongs were covered in 37sec. Civility (Head) v/as at top on reaching the six furlong post, and ran the first three in 35 2-ssec and registered lmin 16sec for the full journey. She looks very well. Great Day left half- a mile behind in 53sec without being extended. Mask (Head) was sent seven furlongs by himself. He covered half a mile in 49 l-ssec and the full distance in lmin 31 3-ssec, doing it nicely. Mask is not engaged at Feilding, but is to run in the Auckland Cup. Star Area (Mitchell) finished in front of Royal Elm (M’Donald) at the end of half a mile run in 50isec. Lvsander (L. A. Pine) and Deluge (W. Ravner) were associated in a five furlong spin with Flying Start. The celt made the pace though there was little between them. They ran the first furlong in 12sec, the quarter in 23 4-ssec, three furlongs in 36sec, the post being reached in lmin 2}sec, with Lysander on the inside doing it nicely. Thaw (Pine) and The Thorn (Rayner) slipped over half a mile comfortably in 52:-ec.
