FIRES KEEP MARTON BRIGADE VERY BUSY.
Per Press Association. MARTON, November 27. Fire at Marton Junction destroyed a dwelling occupied by J. W. Neale, a borough employee. The husband was absent at the time, and the mothei and three children were asleep. A young girl awoke and found the house in flames. She roused her mother and others, who made a hasty exit, saving nothing. Their escape was very foitunate, only the shell of the house remains. The brigade smartly saved two houses alongside. While the brigade was at Neale’s an outbreak was discovered in an empty shop on the main thoroughfare of Marton. When the brigade arrived at this place the flames had been subdued by residents. The circumstances of this fire are very suspicious. The shop has been unused for some time. Only slight damage was done.
